GPSC STI Eligibility Criteria 2025
To be eligible for the GPSC State Tax Inspector Class-3 recruitment, candidates must fulfill the following conditions:
Educational Qualification
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University under the UGC Act, 1956.
- Must have basic knowledge of computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Classification & Recruitment Rules, 1967.
- Must possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Note: Candidates awaiting final semester/year results may apply, but must produce proof of qualification before the Mains Exam application deadline.

GPSC STI Selection Process 2025
The recruitment process includes two stages:
Preliminary Test (Objective Type – MCQ)
- Subject: General Studies
- Marks: 200
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Mode: OMR Sheet
Marking System:
- 5 options (A–E), with “E” for Not Attempted.
- Negative Marking: –0.3 marks for each wrong/multiple/no response (except E).
- Marks obtained in Prelims won’t count toward final merit.
Mains Examination (Descriptive Type)
Only candidates qualified from Prelims (approx. 6x total posts) are eligible.
