IREL Apprentice Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Specific qualifications as per trade (BE/B.Tech, Diploma, ITI, or B.Sc Chemistry).
Higher qualifications like M.Tech, MBA, or Ph.D. are not eligible.

Age Limit (As on Last Date)

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 25 years
Relaxation: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC(NCL) – 3 years, PWD – 10 years

Other Conditions

Candidates already undergoing or who have completed apprenticeship are not eligible.
Only one trade application per candidate is allowed.

Stipend and Benefits

Monthly stipend as per Apprenticeship Rules, 1992 and government norms.
No additional allowances or benefits during the training period.

Selection Process – IREL Apprentice Engagement 2025

Merit List: Based on academic marks.
Tie-Breaker: Candidate with older date of birth gets preference.
Medical Fitness: Candidates must be certified “medically fit” by IREL’s medical officer.
Preference Order:
- Land affected candidates
- Wards of employees (including deceased employees)
- Residents within 10 km radius
- Other local candidates
