Reservation Policy Notes

• Reservation applies strictly according to the J&K Reservation Act and Rules, as amended occasionally.
• Candidates must possess a valid category certificate on or before the cut-off date (06.01.2026).
• Invalid, expired, or forged certificates will result in candidature cancellation, as clearly stated on Page 3 of the PDF .

Eligibility Criteria for JKSSB Accounts Assistant Recruitment 2025–2026

The eligibility rules for this recruitment are strict and must be fulfilled as on the cut-off date.

1. Educational Qualification (as per Annexure-A)

According to the official notification, the minimum qualification is:

• Graduation in any stream from a recognized university.
• Candidates must have:
  • 50% marks for the Open Merit category, or
  • 45% marks for Reserved categories.
• Candidates with:
  • Post-graduation degree (PG) with 50% marks, or
  • PhD degree
    are also eligible.

Mandatory Condition

All academic qualifications must be acquired on or before the last date of the online application, i.e., 06 January 2026.

2. Domicile Requirement

The candidate must be a Domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, as specified on Page 2 of the notification .

A valid Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority is mandatory on or before the last date of application.

3. Age Limit as on 01 January 2025

Over-aged candidates will be automatically rejected during verification.

Salary for JKSSB Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant post falls under Pay Level-5, with a salary range of:

₹29,200 – ₹92,300 (as per Pay Matrix Level-5)

This includes basic pay, allowances, annual increments, and progression as per UT Government rules.

Selection Process: JKSSB Accounts Assistant 2025–2026

The selection is completely written-test based, with no interviews.

1. Written Examination (OMR-Based)

As per Page 5 of the notification :

• The exam consists of Objective-type MCQs.
• The paper is in English only.
• Negative marking applies:
  • 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

2. Document Verification

Candidates shortlisted through the written exam must appear for Document Verification, where:

• All original documents are checked, including:
  • Qualification certificates
  • Domicile certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Birth certificate
  • Identity proof
• Category and domicile certificates must be valid as on 06.01.2026.

Failure to appear in DV or to produce valid certificates leads to instant disqualification.

Scribe Assistance and PwBD Guidelines

• Eligible PwBD candidates may request:
  • A Scribe,
  • Compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination.

Key Rules

• The candidate must arrange their own scribe.
• The scribe must have lower educational qualifications than the candidate.
• The scribe cannot be a candidate for the same examination.
• All documents (Annexure-B and Annexure-C) must be submitted on the exam day.
