The recruitment follows four stages:

Negative Marking Policy
Both CBTs carry a penalty of one-third mark for each incorrect answer.

Step 1 – Create Your RRB Account
- Use your active mobile number and email ID.
- Verify identity via Aadhaar/DigiLocker for faster approval.
- You cannot change your registered RRB, email ID, or mobile number later.
Step 2 – Fill Application Details
- Choose only one RRB zone.
- Enter educational details, category, and preferences.
- Double-check spelling and date of birth exactly as in 10th certificate.
Step 3 – Upload Live Photo & Signature
- Live photo capture is mandatory (no pre-taken photos).
- Signature: black ink on white paper (30 – 49 KB JPEG).
- SC/ST candidates claiming free travel must upload certificate (PDF < 400 KB).
Step 4 – Fee Payment
- Pay fee online via secure gateway.

Vertical Reservation
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS as per Government rules.
- OBC-NCL certificate must be issued after 01 April 2025.
- EWS candidates require Income & Asset Certificate as per Annexure III.
Horizontal Reservation
- Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen (ExSM) receive age relaxations and fee concessions.
