Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:
Indian citizens and select nationals from neighboring countries (Nepal, Bhutan) or persons of Indian origin settled in India can apply.
Educational Qualification (as on 01-08-2025):
A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university is mandatory.
Special requirements for certain posts:
- Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s with 60% in Math (12th) OR Stats in degree.
- Statistical Investigator Grade-II: Bachelor’s with full-time Statistics.
SSC CGL 2025 Selection Process
There are two stages (tiers) in the exam, both conducted online:
1. Tier-I: Preliminary Exam (Qualifying)
- Total Marks: 200
- Subjects: General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English
- Duration: 1 Hour
- Negative Marking: 0.50 marks per wrong answer
2. Tier-II: Mains Exam
- Paper-I: Mandatory for all posts
- Paper-II: Only for JSO and Statistical Investigator
- Sections: Quant, Reasoning, English, GK, Computer & Data Entry
- Negative Marking: 1 mark in Paper-I, 0.50 in Paper-II
