The West Bengal Central School Service Commission (WBSSC) has officially announced the 2nd State Level Selection Test (SLST) 2025 to recruit Assistant Teachers for Secondary (Classes IX-X) and Higher Secondary (Classes XI-XII) levels in Government Aided and Sponsored Schools across West Bengal.

Eligibility Criteria (As per SLST Rules 2025):
Nationality:
- Must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit (As of Jan 1, 2025):
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years
- Age Relaxation:
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC: +3 years
- PH: +8 years
Educational Qualifications:
For Secondary (IX-X):
- Graduation or Post Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed. from NCTE recognized institute
OR - 4-year Integrated B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
For Higher Secondary (XI-XII):
- Post Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed. or equivalent
OR - Post Graduation with 50% + Integrated B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
Relaxation of 5% marks for reserved categories.
Medium of Instruction:
- Must have studied the subject medium (Bengali, English, Hindi, Nepali, etc.) as per prescribed norms.
Selection Process:
- Written Examination (MCQ format – 1 mark per question)
- Academic & Professional Score Evaluation
- Interview & Lecture Demo
- Final Merit List & Panel Preparation
Merit list will be subject-wise, medium-wise, gender-wise, and category-wise.
